HOUSE IN NAYPLIO

Aghios Andrianos, Nayplion. Greece 2007-2010
House basic Area: 220 μ2
Site area: 4.000m2
Owner : M. Mara & C.Daflos
Βudget: €N/A

A house used as a vacation retreat for an artist and her family with dramatic views over Nayplion's old city and castle.

Living spaces are on ground floor. Living room is becoming a different one storey volume that its roof can be used as a terrace to the bedrooms on second floor.

This volume also becomes the entrance  and creates a planted courtyard.

Design intention is to use fair faced concrete, glass and wood panels for cladding.enhancing the "studio approach" for the artist and its contradiction in a strong greek rural environment with historical vibes since nayplion was named the first Greek capital in the 1800's.
