The New Sparta Archaeology Museum, an innovative architectural project, emerged from the International Competition in 2019. Spanning an area of 10,000m² in the historical region of Sparta, Laconia, Greece, the design thoughtfully incorporates a preserved factory from 1960, showcasing modernist architecture. The extension harmoniously coexists with the site’s significant archaeological findings, ensuring that the rich history of the area remains intact and celebrated. This museum stands as a testament to the balance between preservation and contemporary design.
